Eldest daughter of Trevor John Whitburn and Lurline Iris Cuthbert.
Searching for ancestors on both side of my tree.
My maternal grandfather (David Cuthbert)arrived in Australia approx 1913 as a 4 year old from Scotland and no records of him are found until he marries my grandmother in 1933. He records his fathers name as David and mother unknown.
My paternal Ggrandfather (William Harold Norman) met my grandmother during WWI. She chose to look after her sick parents rather than marry him when she found out she was expecting my grandfather. He returned to the UK, married and went on to have a daughter, remarry and returned to Australia where he remained until he died.
