Biography

- Middle name William appears on both draft registration cards sources [3] and [4]. However, source 3, shows the William scratched through and Wesley written over it.
- John W. Whitcomb is buried in the Hayden Cemetery, in Hayden, Jennings County, Indiana. - John W. and Louise Doud Whitcomb had four children, two of whom survived son Edgar Whitcomb's death according to his 2016 obituary. - Marriage location and date were obtained from Ancestry member trees.
