Benjamin Franklin White was born about 1837 in Kentucky to Enoch White and Winifred (Jones) White.[1] He married Sarah Amanda McBee in 1858, and they had a family.[2] He joined the Union side during the Civil War.[3] He died in 1867.[4] He was barely 30. His wife was left with three young children, including a son born the same year. She allowed her father to assume control of her husband's estate and moved back to her parents' home.
