Biography

Birth

Rose was the fifth child of William and Hannah. She was born in Kempton ^[1].

Her father was a labourer and her aunt Elizabeth Wallington was the informant.

Marriage

Thomas married Rose White in Hobart in 1895. Thomas was 32 and Rose was 19. ^[2]

On the registration, Thomas was aged 22 and Rose was 19. Thomas was a bachelor, Rose was a spinster. Thomas' occupation was 'farmer'. His sister Ellen was one of the witnesses. The other witness was the wife of the minister.

At the time of their marriage, their eldest child was one month old.

Family

Thomas and Rose had two children, Leslie ^[3] and Dorothy ^[4].

Death

Rose died in 1898, shortly after the birth of Dorothy, from puerperal fever and postpartum haemorrhage ^[5].

She was buried in Kempton.
