Biography
In 1900, Nellie was 15 years old and still living with her parents, William and Artemecia "Mecie" Jones White. The White household in Caldwell, St. Clair County, Alabama was next door to the household of James Marion and Helen Hodges Lankford, whose son Robert Washington Lankford was Nellie White's future husband.
