He married Elizabeth Weller on 29 December 1829.[2]Peter left Pennsylvania with his two brothers, Samuel and John, and their families and settled in Richland County near Shiloh, Ohio about 1837 or 1838. He resided in or near Plymouth Ohio.[3]
In the 1850 census children living with Peter and Elizabeth were Hannah, 17; Rachel, 16; Philip, 14; Catherine, 13; Rebecca, 11; William, 4; and John, 2.[4]
He passed away on 2 May 1862 in Richland, Ohio. He was buried at Opdyke Cemetery, Richland, Ohio.[5]
