Tavener White b. 1793 in VA was enlisted on Mar 1 or 7, 1814 as a private in the 20th Regiment under John P. Duvall then transferred to Bernard Peyton’s Company, and died on August 14th or 16th, 1814.
Tavener is not listed here or on the Pension Application files or Service index, but he was listed on the Records of Enlistments in the US Army prior to the Peace Establishment May 17, 1815 p. 142 No: 5152, and his brother, Henry White received a land grant for his service, and his family moved to old Lawrence County, now Randolph, Arkansas.
