Charlotte was born in Tasmania on 1 June 1833, and registered in Richmond, Tasmania the following year. ^[1]

A John BROGAN, convict, arrived in Tasmania on the Kinnear with 183 other convicts in 1842. He was the only BROGAN on the Kinnear. He was a farm labourer, could plough and read.

John BROGAN, convict tried at Westmeath, Ireland, 28 Jan 1842, for stealing 2 pigs, sentenced to 7 years deportation, departed Dublin in the Kinnear 10 Jul 1842, arrived Hobart Town 23 Oct 1842. He was granted a Ticket of Leave 22 Dec 1846, to reside in the Sorell district, in the service of E. Gordon, Pittwater.
