Cora Edith White was born in 1873, fifth child of Abel White and Maria Louisa Jersey.[1] Her birth date is documented in the 1901 census referenced below. She first appeared on the 1881 census at the age of 8.[2] Then she was recorded with her parents on the 1891 census, at age 18.[3]
Cora married Aulden Burton Bailey in March of 1895, the marriage taking place in St. Armand Baptist Church, where Cora's grandfather Rev. F. N. Jersey once preached.[4] The couple had two children, both born in Potton, Quebec:[5]
A news item in April 1903 reported that "Potton. Mrs. Alden Bailey, nee Miss Cora White, is in the last stages of consumption".[6] Cora passed away just a few weeks later at the age of only 30.
She was buried in Mansonville Protestant Cemetery, in Mansonville, Quebec.[7]
