Biography
- Note: have been unable to track down any info about Sarah before her marriage to Benjamin, except that she was a widow at the time, & her previous husband's surname was Clark... The lack of any marriage record for Sarah & a Clark could suggest that that was not her first marriage.
- Her maiden name was found on the birth records for her children; unfortunately, Sarah's name is common enough that it is impossible to link her to her parents without more info.
- Her marriage record to Benjamin states that she was born in Harrison County; this is probably untrustworthy, since it states that Benjamin was also born in Harrison County, & there is too much evidence that he was born in Wood County, in the portion that then became part of Ritchie County. [1]
