Jane was born in July of 1867. She was first married to Reese Duff Keen in September of 1883. Jane and Reese had at least four children before Reese passed away in 1888:

1. Peter Cleveland Keen (1884–1935)^[1]
2. Lydia "Litty" J Keen (1885–1897)^[2]
3. John Wiley Keen (1887–1970)^[3]
4. William Harrison Keen (1888–1975)^[4]

In February of 1889 she was remarried to Albert R. Jewell. It is believed that Jane and Albert had ten children:
