Biography

Nicholas White was born ca. 1646 in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay the son of Nicholas White and Suzanna (Foster Humphrey) White. He married Ursula Macomber the daughter of William and Ursula (Thomas) Macomber in Taunton, Massachusetts on 9 Dec 1673. They had seven children all born in Taunton:^[1]

1) Nicholas - 3 Feb 1675
2) Matthew - 25 Oct 1676
3) Ephraim - 8 Feb1679, died without issue
4) Dorcas - 24 Dec 1680
5) Benjamin, mentioned in his father's will; died without issue
6) John - 10 Jan 1686, died young
7) Thomas, mentioned in his father's will

He was one of the Selectmen of Taunton for four years and held other positions of trust and responsibility. Like his father he was engaged in business and a large landholder. His will was dated 15 Sep 1724. He died in Norton, Mass., 18 Jan 1728 and his will proved 28 May 1728. The inventory of his estate amounted to £ 1553-19s.-3d.^[1]

Nicklos married Ursila Macomber on 9 December 1673 in Taunton, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States.^[2]
