Mrs. Eleanor Ruth Whitehill Morgan, 74, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013. She was born October 24, 1939 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Howard Eugene Whitehill and the late Mrs. Nellie Ruth Millsap Whitehill. Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. She was a Proverbs 31 woman, devoting her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She took great pride in the care of the home. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Horton Morgan on June 4, 2009; sister, Norma Jean Crew; and brother, Bud Whitehill. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marisa and Billy Hutto of Douglasville; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles Jeffery and Jennifer Morgan of Athens; one sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and Randall Carter of Cedartown; brother-in-law, Ralph Crew; ten grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Watters and Rev. Jimmy Post officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
