Her name is given as MaNaSootchAWinKah. (1916 census, et al.) This is for Mąnąksųjᵋwįga, "She Who Shakes the Earth," a personal name in the Thunderbird Clan. (Dorsey, Radin) This is from mą, "earth, land, ground"; nąksų́č, "to shake"; -wį-, a feminine gender infix, and -ga, a definite article suffix used in personal names.

Death
