Biography

Born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1971. I learned in 2004 that I had a biological father. I have him listed on WikiTree as my "father" for research purposes. I have been researching my family history since about 1997. My Dad's, Kenneth Whiteside, sister provided me with the documentation for the Whiteside portion of my tree. I have since added onto that line as well as many others in my tree by visiting court houses, libraries and states where the information is kept.

Hello Julie,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Julie,

We’ve made some exciting changes to the Global Cemeteries Project. The sub-projects have been merged into the Global Project to help with Leadership and to facilitate collaboration.

Some roles within the project have changed. From now on, there are Project Coordinators for each continent, and one for Welcome and Integration, plus Team Leaders for each individual Country etc.

Please let me know if you’d like to stay on in the new project, if you’d like to continue in an existing role, and which team(s) you’d like to be on. Please also give me your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the project’s Google Group.

Many thanks,

Susie

Julie, I have updated some of the Guidance for Creating Cemetery Categories on the North Carolina Cemeteries Project page. With the new changes in the Categories, I thought it would be useful to update this. I hope this is ok.

Hi Julie I found you thru the US projects/ cemetaries, I contacted Lisa, not sure if this needs to be listed as just a link, and if should also be placed in US History/ War projects somewhere- noticed you do not have St. Pauls Church and Cemetery, circa 1808 National Register of Landmarks, Catawba County, NC http://www.catawbascv.org/OldStPaul.htm

There are soldiers listed and thier graves transcribed on the main page, thought this maybe useful for ones who maybe searching NC records and not finding ones they looking for..
