Biography

When Major Whitesides was born on April 1, 1834, in Marion, Alabama, his father, James, was 36 and his mother, Sarah, was 32. He had three brothers and five sisters. He died on May 23, 1855, in Itawamba, Mississippi, at the age of 21, and was buried there.
