In 1890 she married Richard Wortley in Methwold, Norfolk,[3][4] and they had 6 children: Alberta May (b.1888, d.1920), Elizabeth Maria (b.1893), Elsie (b.1895, d.1973), William James (b.1898, d.1972), Eva Annie (b.1902, d.1980) and one other who died before 1911.
Emma died aged 74 in 1942 in Methwold[5] and was buried there[6].
