She married John Crouch on 19 June 1882 in Perth.[2]
An old and well-known resident of the Northam district, in the person of Mrs. Ellen Crouch, died at the Government Hospital on Saturday morning, her husband, the late John Crouch, having predeceased her by two years and five months. A native of Western Australia, the late Mrs. Crouch was 62 years of age, and had been ill for some weeks prior to her death. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, leaving from Mr. J. W. Purslowe's private Mortuary. The place of interment was the Anglican portion of the Northam cemetery. The Rev. W. H. Watson officiated at the graveside, while the chief mourners were sons and daughters of the deceased, and Mrs. Pass (Perth) sister. The pall-bearers were Messrs. T. Harrison, H. E. Spry, G. Freind, T. Duggan and J. W. Purslowe. A family of four daughters and three sons survive the deceased.[3]
