Biography

Amanda A. (Whitham) Brown was born about 1840 in Indiana. Her parents were James Whitham (~1771 - 1854) and Martha (Bolin) Whitham (~1809 - ~1854). This is confirmed by the Will of James Whitham, dated 21 August 1849, filed in Jefferson County, Indiana, Vol. A, page 33, wherein he states that Martha is his wife and Amanda A. is one of his children.[1]
