"The many friends of George H. WHITING in the vicinity will learn with regret of his death at his late home at Eagle Harbor, on Friday, the 23d. of last month. He had many warm friends here and was much respected by all who knew him. He leaves a wife (Carrie FAILING) whom he married two years ago." [2]
