BRADLEY, Marilyn W. Marilyn Whitlock Bradley, 84, of Norfolk, died Monday, (September 26, 2005), in Canaan. She was the widow of E. Tremain Bradley. She was born January 14, 1921, in Elizabeth, NJ, the daughter of the late Louis Ivey and Mary Myers Whitlock. She received her bachelor's degree from Vassar College and a master's from Fairfield University in educational psychology and was the learning skills specialist at New Canaan Country School in the 1970s. She lived for many years in New Canaan, and subsequently retired to Sanibel Island, FL. She summered all her life in Norfolk and returned there permanently in 1988. She was an active member of the church wherever she lived, including St. Mark's Episcopal Church, in New Canaan, and more recently, St. Luke's, in Darien.
She leaves three sons, Tod Ackerly, of Washington, DC, Rick Ackerly, of San Francisco, CA and Jim Ackerly, of Rowayton; a daughter, Molly Ackerly, of Norfolk, and four stepchildren. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22, at 11 am. in the Church of Christ Congregational, Norfolk. Burial services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Norfolk Library, P.O. Box 605, Norfolk, CT 06058. The Kenny Funeral Home, 39 Maple Ave., Norfolk, has care of arrangements.
