Joe Whitmore was born on February 21, 1907 in Union, North Carolina, United States, son of Robert Whitmore (1849–1928) and Sarah Ann Plyler (1859–1948).
In the 1910 census Joseph (age 3) was the son of Robert P Whitmore in South Monroe, Union, North Carolina, United States.[1]
Joe (age 27), son of R. P. Witmore & Sarah Witmore, married Dora Edith Meigs (age 24) on 29 September 1934 in New London, Stanly, North Carolina, United States.[2]
Joe, son of Robert P. Witmore & Sallie Plyler, died (age 71) in 1978 in Monroe, Union, North Carolina, United States.[3]
