Benjamin Whitney, son of Joseph and Abigail (Nutting) Whitney, was born on 27 Oct. 1741 at Groton, Massachusetts.[1]

He married Mary Turner on 12 Aug. 1761 or 1762 at Pepperell, Massachusetts.[1]

He married second Rebecca Fitch, daughter of Zechariah and Rebeckah (Davis) Fitch, on 14 Oct. 1779 at Pepperell, Massachusetts.[1]

He married third Olive Farnsworth, daughter of Isaac and Anna (Green) Farnsworth, on 5 March 1794 at Pepperell, Massachusetts.[1]

He married as his fourth wife Anna Woods, daughter of Abel and Anna Woods, on 11 Oct. 1809 at Groton, Massachusetts.[1]
