The widowed Lucy Dana was recorded in the first census of the United States, 1790.[7]
Lucy then married Samuel Whittemore of Salem, in Watertown, on 2 Nov 1800 before Rev. Richard R. Eliot.[8][9][10]. They had declared their intentions in both Salem and Watertown. [11][12]
Lucy (Whitney) Dana Whittemore died on 4 Dec 1814, in the part of Cambridge that became Arlington.
"WHITTEMORE __, w. Sam(ue)l, Dec. 4, 1814. (Lucy, w. Lt. Samuel, Dec. 14, a. 60, G.R.)"[13][14]. She was buried in the Old Burying Ground in Arlington, where her headstone is inscribed:
"In memory of Mrs. Lucy Whittemore wife of Lieut. Samuel Whittemore who died Dec. 14th 1814" [15]

Dana-620 and Whitney-3073 appear to represent the same person because: Lucy was married twice. One profile has her parents and her first husband, and the other profile has her second husband. LNAB should be Whitney. Please merge. Thanks!
Whitney-3433 and Whitney-3073 appear to represent the same person because: While this is getting a little far afield from Knowlton research, Elizabeth Knowlton over at Rootsweb had documented this line through where it connects to ours; her Lucy Whitney is here:
Her primary source is Elizabeth E. Dana's "The Dann Family in America" but I'm not sure if that goes back this far. I can put you in touch with her if you'd like, but at any rate these two profiles definitely agree on everything.
