Isaac Whitney was born on 28 December 1748 in York, Maine. His parents were Isaac Whitney and Sarah (Crosby) Whitney[1].
He married Mary Crockett, but the date of their marriage is uncertain. They had ten children[2]:

2. Edmund, born 4 May 1774; married Martha Meserve
3. Samuel, born 4 May 1774; married Dorcas Wescott
4. Joseph, born 26 Aug 1776; married Mary Freeman
5. Dorcas, born 1778
6. Isaac L., born 29 May 1781; married Margaret Leach
7. Adams, born 1784; married Lydia Lombard
8. Polly, born 1786
9. Sophy, born 1795
10. William, died young
Isaac passed away on 21 October 1837 in Gorham[3]. He is buried in the Whitney Family Plot, on the NE side of Route 114 (Fort Hill Road, Gorham, Maine) opposite Dingly Spring Road. See Find-A-Grave memorial # 86492674.[4]
