Biography

Robert Mitchell "Bob" Whitney[1][2] was born 18 August 1890[1][3] in Lerna, Illinois[1] to George Whitney[4] and Emma (Hill) Whitney[4].

He married Gladys Sealock[5]. They had six children: Melba[6], Roberta[7], Keith[8], Kent[5], Dale[9], and Al[10].

Robert appears in the 1900 census[4] with his parents and siblings, in the 1910 census[11] with his brother and parents, in the 1920 census[12] with his wife and children, in the 1930 census[13] with his wife, children, and father-in-law, and in the 1940 census[14] with his wife and children. He also appears in the 1895 Kansas state census[15] with his parents and siblings.

He passed away in October 1972[3] and was buried in Mulvane Cemetery, Mulvane, Kansas[16].
