Elizabeth was the daughter of Richard Whitney and Elizabeth Sawtell. Her date of birth is estimated as about 1696 based on the birth order listed in her father's will.

She married, 21 Jan 1722/3, Lexington, MA, John Wetherbee, "both of Stow", son of John and Katherine (Whitcomb) Wetherbee. He was born 26 Jun 1701, Stow, MA, and died 30 May 1746, Harvard, MA. ^[1]
