Biography

James was the son of William Whitson and Ann McDowell born 10 Mar 1787.[1][2]

He married Elizabeth Toney on 6 May 1811.[3][4][5][6] They had issue:

  2. William Toney, 1814–1872
  3. Thomas Jefferson, 1824–1900
  4. Elizabeth Frances, 1826–1901, m. McDuff
  5. Sarah Vanier, 1829–1901, m. Gaines

  7. Jason W. Whitson, 1840–1863

James died on 29 Mar 1841.[7]

Is there any proof that he is a child of William Whitson and Anne McDowell? I do not use other people's trees.
