Biography
Joseph Whittaker was born in 1824 in Warrington Lancashire England [1] the son of William Whittaker, a labourer. [2]
When he was 17, Joseph, a warehouse man, married Martha Slater on 30 October 1842 at St Paul's church, Warrington. Witnesses were Joseph Leicester and Mary Slater. [2]
