Jeremiah Whittemore was born on October 8, 1804 in Spencer, Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States, son of Jeremiah Whittemore and Polly Washburn.

Jeremiah (23) married Marinda Holmes in Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts on January 20, 1828. ^{[1] [2]}

Marinda was born on February 11, 1804 in Lancaster, Worcester.

Their children were:

1. Charles Robbins Whittemore, b. 1829.
2. Mary Elizabeth Whittemore, b. Sept. 12, 1830.
3. Laura Ann Cary, b. 1832.
4. Ellen Francis Whittemore, b. 1843.

Jeremiah died on March 17, 1862, aged 57. ^[2]
