Biography

Joseph Whittemore is the son of John Whittemore and Mary (Upham) Whittemore. Joseph's father is also identified in historical texts as "John of Cambridge." ^[1]

Born on 29 Jan 1667 in Charlestown, Massachusetts^[2], Joseph, husbandman, innholder, attorney, sea captain, gentleman, died in Charlestown, Massachusetts, on 8 Aug 1746; he was 79.

On March 30, 1687, Joseph married Joanna Mousall.^[3] Joanna was admitted to First Church, 24 February 1689. She died Oct. 28, 1691. ^[4]

In 1693, Joseph married second Susanna Frost.^[5]
