Biography

Came to Malden as a boy.

Attended Malden schools.

Learned shoe making.

m. in Malden, 1811-02-14, Esther Rice Nichols. 10 children.

Children: William Henry John N. George Nathan Charles Esther Eliza

These children were all living in Everett around 1893, in the vicinity of the original homestead, except Charles, who was recently deceased. William, the father, died in 1850. He had sold the original homestead in 1845.

Lived near Nichols Farm, at junction of Chelsea and Irving Streets. Had a small shoe shop where the Vanderhoof's barber shop later was.
