Great Aunt Beck wrote to Alex: "Your great grandfather was a railroad conducter. At one time his train went past the street where Aunt Joyce lived in Acton, Mass. I boarded there because I taught school in Acton. Well, whenever Great Grandpa's train went past our street he would toot the whistle extra long and loud to say 'hi!'. Some days Aunt Joyce would be waiting by the tracks to wave to him."
