Lena was born in Hingham (?) Massachusetts and lived in Fitchburg until she married William on September 6, 1912. They took their wedding trip to the White Mountains.
They lived for a time Pepperell, Mass.?
Their daughter Dorothy Olive was born October 2, 1914, in S. Jaffrey, NH. She died on February 2, 1915, Tuesday at 10:40pm. She was just four months old. She was buried that Thursday at 2pm in East? Jeffrey, New Hampshire.
Tragically, their son Merrill William was born February 6, 1916, and died February 26?, 1916. Again, the burial was in Jaffrey, NH.
The obituary for her mother lists Lena as Lena Calnan, not Brown. Perhaps she remarried late in life?
She is sometimes (mistakenly?) called "Elena".
The 1927 city directory for Fitchburg has Lena employed at Star Worsted Co, living with her parents at 193 Charles Street. Is this consistent with the notes above? Maybe she was between marriages?
