Biography
Jacob was born in August 1831.[1] He is the son of Isaiah Whitten and Catherine Whitman. [2]
At the time of the 1870 census, Jacob was the head of the household with his mother and siblings in Shawangunk, Ulster, New York.
He appears to have died in 1911.[3] The death record does not give enough information to definitively show it is our Jacob, but we know he was alive at the time of the 1910 census at age 78.
