Biography
Mildred was born about 1919 to John Wick and Anna Brevik. She lost her father in 1923. Her mother raised her and in siblings in a small house in the Ballard area of Seattle, Washington.
While he was attending University of Washington, Bob Brandes saw Millie at dance. After a courtship, they married before Bob went off to serve in the Navy in the South Pacific during WWII.
She is mother to David Ribert Brandes and John Alred Brandes. The family settled in the Park Rose neighborhood or Portland and lived on Alton Street. They were active members of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She passed away in October 2004.
