Richard Wickham was born in Sussex, England.

Richard was born in about 1697 to Richard Wickham) and Mary Humphry. He was baptised on 07 Nov 1697 in Wadhurst, Sussex, England.[1]

Richard married Ann Birch on 22 Feb 1724 in Sussex.[2]

The couple went on to have at least ten children.

In 1730 Richard had a son, Richard Pratt (bef.1730-bef.1812) by Elizabeth Pratt.[3]

"Richard Wickham the younger of Wadhurst, cordwainer, with his father Richard Wickham the elder of Wadhurst, cordwainer bound in 50, to acquit the parish of any charges, as the father of the bastard son of Elizabeth Pratt of Wadhurst, spinster. Endorsed: receipt for 1 12s 0d for the lying-in of EP; 6 Jan 1732"[4]

Richard died in 1783 and was buried on 17 Sep 1783 in Heathfield, Sussex, All Saints Parish Church.[5]
