Biography

Margaret Wickham was the daughter of Samuel and Abigail (Howell) Wickham, born in. 1781.

Her marriage to the widower Nathaniel Bailey (also spelled Bayley) on 29 Mar 1782 in Goshen, Orange, NY is recorded in Refugees of 1776.[1] Children:

Isreal Wickham Bailey b 11 Feb 1788
Nathaniel Bailey b 10 Sep 1786
Columbus Bailey b 28 Jun 1789
Barcas Bailey b 8 Feb 1791

Columbia (Columbus) Bailey testified in a deposition in support of his step-mother Bethiah's application for a Revolutionary War pension that his own mother, Margaret Bailey, died on or about the 15th of March 1798, after which his father married Bethiah, the widow Tryon.[2]
