DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Johannes by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Johannes:

Wiest-88 and Wiest-25 do not represent the same person because: The birthplace and dates of these two profiles are very different. They are either the result of a falsefication of records or different people.

Which one is the correct spouse of Anna Catharina Froelich?

Wiest-25 is well defined including his birth parents and spouse Anna froelich. The Wiest-88 profile cannot be verified. I believe that it was created with bogus assumption.

There is proof that Johannes Wiest that entered the US aboard the "Thistle" from rotterdam . If you have proof that he was born in Kingston, NY then there are two Johannes Weists and the children may be confused.
posted on Wiest-88 (merged) by John Ellis
Wiest-88 and Wiest-25 are not ready to be merged because: There is information that johannes arrived in the US on board the "Thistle" from rotterdam and entered into the US in Philadelphia the Johannes Weist listed in Weist 88 is said to be born in Kingston.
