Biography

Jonathan Wiggin was a son of Hannah (Bradstreet; 1642-1707) and Andrew Wiggin (1635-1710). His birth in 1683 probably occurred in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, where his birth family had settled after migrating from the Boston bay area.

Jonathan Wiggin married in Newbury, Massachusetts, 9 November 1703, Mary Emery [1],[2] (1684 - 1744). They apparently moved to Stratham, New Hampshire, as their son Andrew Wiggin was born there in 1719 [3]. There may have been other children of this union.

Jonathan Wiggin died 31 May 1738 at Stratham, New Hampshire. His grave is represented to be in Greenwood Cemetery, Stratham, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA [4]. No grave marker is depicted.

Notes

A different online memorial site represents a Jonathon Wiggin with slightly different actuarial data [5]. Probably it represents this same person.

Wiggin-137 and Wiggin-133 appear to represent the same person because: Wiggin-133 was incorrectly constructed. No evidence exists to support the data previously contained, which has been deleted. This, the only Jonathan Wiggin who was a son of Andrew Wiggin & Hannah Bradstreet, hence who became the father of Anna (Wiggin) Jewett, is described in the Wiggin-137 profile, which should be retained during the merge.

Wiggin-194 and Wiggin-133 appear to represent the same person because: Both represent the spouse of Mary Emery.
