Hi Sandi,

The Last Name at Birth doesn’t have to be the same in order to complete a merge. Since Robison is not the correct spelling, it should be merged into Robeson, so that the correct last name is retained. See:

Linda Peterson says in this thread, “Do NOT change the last name of either before doing a merge because that will cause a redirect of a profile that is not needed.”

Elinor’s first appearance in a record is her father Andrew Robeson’s will, where he spells his surname Robeson, so that is the correct Last Name at Birth for her. Andrew’s Will begins on the bottom of the right page here:

Hi Sandi

I placed a source of Douglas Richardson's "Royal Ancestry" Vol. IV. page 206, in comments for Edmund Cartlidge (Cartledge-33) . He married Mary (Need-3) at Nottingham Quaker meeting 28 Nov. 1682. They had two sons, John and Edmund, and one daughter, Mary. They immigrated to ennsylvania, where they settled at Darby, Chester County, PA.

Mary (Need-3) Cartlidge, is listed as a Magna Carta Gateway Ancestor in the source given. Memebers of the Magna Carta Project are working to add sources and improve the Gateway Ancestors.

Thank you for asking for clarification for Edmund Cartlidge.

Hi Sandi, I saw of your interest in Diversity Profiles. I recently added Osceola Enoch McKaine. Please take a look and edit the profile if you have an interest--I'm not good a weaving. If not, enjoy learning about him. The Internets have a lot of information on this man, whom I had never heard of.

Sandi, Hi

Was there ever a consensus on your G2G question on the spelling of the LNAB for Henry Kinney, Kenney, Kinne, etc.???

So, I was adding my name to the Quaker resource page and saw yours saying Modern Quaker and clicked out of interest. Turns out "Sandi and Summer are 8th cousins twice removed" through the Boone line.  :D
