Thomas Wiggins was born in Monroe County, Alabama about 1834. He was possibly the son of Elijah Wiggins and Marianne Locke. On 5 Dec 1858, he married Lurana Rachels,[1] daughter of Bryant Rachels and Elizabth Guan. She is referred to as Lurana (marriage record), Luranda (1850 Census), Lorraine (death cert. of son James), Love (1880 Census) and Louisa (1870 Census).
