Mark was baptised at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 22nd November 1818.[1] He was the son of Charles Wiggins and Elizabeth Clements. His father gave his occupation on the baptism register as labourer.
Marriage
Mark Wiggins and Ann Danbury were married after banns on 10th October 1847 at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough, Oxfordshire.[2] They were both of full age and living in Hanborough. Mark was a bachelor, working as a labourer and the son of Charles Wiggins who was also a labourer. Ann was a widow, working as a gloveress and the daughter of John Whitley, a labourer. Mark made his mark on the register with a cross whilst Ann signed her own name. The witnesses to the marriage were James Wiggins and Elizabeth Whitley.[3]
