As a recommendation, you may want to edit your tags to show the region where you are researching surnames. The clickable tags we follow and the comments we make about them at WikiTree help us collaborate with other members. Click the green tags on your top right of your profile page and see others following the same things you are researching. The more tags you add (20 max.) that include surnames, locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more links to the community research options you will have. This link may help you learn more about tags.

Hi Curt,

As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site. Has the New Member How-To been helpful or left you with any questions?

Links don't work in emails.  If that has happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

PS Tags are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag and links to resources. They also control the activity which is included in the weekly emails from WikiTree. To get the best results, add separate tags for each surname and spelling variation of interest on your Followed Tags page. You can have up to 20 total.

PS If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.

Hi

May i suggest adding tags so that you have a few that are either a surname or location you are researching?

If you create tags for your surnames, the tags become clickable links to pages of others who want to collaborate about that surname. This link may help you Tags.

Your Wiki Genealogy Feed will show the activity connected to the surnames and places relating to your tags,

Hi Curt

Thank you for volunteering, Before we confirm your membership, would you edit your tags and comments to give us a bit more information about your genealogical interests

The tags we follow and the comments we make about them at WikiTree help us connect with other members. Tags should be single surnames, locations, or genealogical interests related to your family research. Comments should relate to why those tags interest you.

You can do this by editing your tags/comments. We will then be happy to confirm you as a member

To contact me, be sure to use the "reply" link for this comment so that I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment on my profile page.

Thank you

PS If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree email, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page
