Biography

Stephen Wiggins was born in Alabama 17 Feb 1823, the son of Stephen Wiggins and Nancy Ann Thames. On 28 May 1846, he married Elizabeth Catherine Marion in Monroe County, AL.^[1] After their marriage Stephen and Elizabeth moved to Leake County, Mississippi, where they remained the rest of their lives, raising six children there.

3. Theodore Marion Wiggins, b. 23 Feb 1852; d. 12 Feb 1882; m. 28 Nov 1877, Prudie V. Smith.
4. William D. Wiggins, b. 2 Feb 1856; d. 13 Feb 1890.
5. Richard Henry Wiggins, b. 24 Apr 1858; d. 15 Oct 1926; m. 24 Dec 1885, Zebulon 'Zebbie' Lula Perry.
6. Robert Bruce Wiggins, b. 1860; m. 28 Feb 1900, Annie Belle Gill.

Stephen's wife, Elizabeth died on 19 May 1890 at the age of 70. Stephen survived her eight years, dying at 75 years of age on 28 May 1898. They are both buried in Pensacola Cemetery in Leake County.
