The daughter of Samuel T. Wight (1820-1871) and Martha Pomeroy Stebbins (1819-1883), Marion Wight was born in Silver Creek, New York[citation needed] in 1843, residing with her family in 1850 in Hanover Township.[1][2] By 1860, Marion and her family lived in Gerry Township.[3]
Marion married Henry Barber, taking up residence in Gerry Township.[4][5] They later migrated west to Michigan, settling in Richmond Township, in Osceola County.[6] Marion Barber passed away in Wolverine, Michigan[citation needed] at the age of 50 and is buried at Woodland Cemetery in Reed City, Michigan.[7]
