Asa was born in 1742. He is the son of John Wight and Mary Plimpton.
According to William Ward Wight[1]:
"Asa Wight (John, Jonathan, Samuel, Thomas), born November 30, 1742 married December 12, 1771, Hannah, born January 13, 1745, daughter of Isaac and Kezia (Smith) Boyden of Medfield, and great-granddaughter of Samuel Smith, born in Dedham, October 13. 1641. Hannah died December 25, 1791, in Medfield. On June 13, 1793, Asa married Miriam Partridge, born March 15, 1768 . Asa succeeded to the possession of his father's estate including the saw mill in Medfield. Asa died 1808, his widow died October 28, 1816. Asa served for a time in the Revolutionary army. Children: 1. Hannah, born February 19. 1794, 2. Mary. born April 25, 1796, nothing known. 3. Asa, born 1799, died in Medfield April 6, 1800 4. Miriam. born 1800 died in Medfield, April 16, 1819 5. Asa, born August 19, 1804, died in Medfield, November 10, 1804"
Asa married Hannah Boyden on 12 Dec 1771 in Medfield, Massachusetts.[2]
