  • 1. A FamilyTree search for Judith Wignal, born in England between 1590-1605, returned only one primary source, for a Judith Wignoll, who married Isely Cranwell on 14Dec1637 in Surrey, Endland. Probably not our Judith.
  • 2. FamilySearch Trees. A FamilyTree search for Judith Wignal, born 1595-1605 in England, husband of Reginald, returned 340 Trees. 63 of those treed had "Alexander" as her father. 11 of these have her mother as "Frances Williams, Francis Martha Williams, Mary Francis Williams, or Francis Elizabeth Williams. 8 trees have her as Joan or John Wignal. 3 trees have her name as Margaret Barefoot or Barfoote. None of this tells us the name of Judith's mother, but it make provide clues for where to look.
  1. Margaret Barefoot, born in 1574 in Exeter, Devonshire.
  2. Joan or John Wignal, born in 1574 in Exeter, Devonshire.
  3. Francis (Martha) Williams, born about 10Jun1575 (or about 1580) in Great Yarbouth, Norfolk. Died in 1631 (or 1622) in Watertown, Suffolk, Mass. Parents: Stephen Williams and Margaret Cooke. Married Alexander in 1594 (or 1599, or 1604) in London Garden, Essex.
  • 3. US and International Marriages. Four records of Alexander Wignal (born in 1578) marriage to Martha (born in 1580). Married in 1604. This is not likely the parents of Judith, since she was born about 1597.

There was a great tree a few years back that made Judith a Plantagenet descendant. Like many of my favorites that tie people to royalty it featured three generations born over ten years.

see https://ridge-dweller.net/2015/04/14/reginald-foster-puritan-and-home-builder/ it states " Judith, wife of Reginald, was born in 1597 to Alexander and Mary Signal in Exeter" Judith is my 10th grandmother
As I completed the merge this morning. I realized Judith she does not belong to these parents at all. The relationship is not based on fact or evidence, but merely a similarity of surnames. Anderson states there is no evidence that Alexander had children. There is certainly no evidence that Judith was his daughter. I think she should be disconnected. Thoughts?

Wignol-1 and Wignall-240 appear to represent the same person because: same name, same pob, same father, same spouse, same death info. Please merge.

Wignall-240 and Wignol-1 are not ready to be merged because: LNAB and DOB need to be determined.

Wignol-1 and Wignall-240 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth place, husband, death date and place. The name is spelled "Wignol" by Walter Goodwin Davis who wrote about Renold Foster in TAG 18:13-15.
Is it possible the Husband should be a REGINALD FOSTER instead of Isaac Perkins-602 ? I would like you to check this Find A Grave Memorial# 104512409 http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=FOS&GSpartial=1&GSbyrel=all&GSst=21&GScntry=4&GSsr=1801&GRid=104512409&
