This is the project account for the Magna Carta Project. It is tied to the project's Profile Alerts Google Group. Project members and affiliates belong to that group in order to help monitor profiles that have this project account on the trusted list or as a manager. The Project Alerts Google Group recieves e-mails sent to WikiTree-36 (activity reports of followed tags and watchlist profiles, copies of comments posted here and on project-managed profiles, and private messages sent to WikiTree-36).
The Magna Carta Project began about a year before the creation of project accounts, so while the concept of "management by project" is not especially new, WikiTree policies were recently clarified, revealing it as a requirement (see details in this G2G post). As a result, many profiles that display a Magna Carta project box do not have this project account as a manager, but they should.
To add this Magna Carta Project Account as a profile manager:
On the profile you would like the Magna Carta project to help watch over, click the Privacy tab.
In the "Add to Trusted List" section, enter: wikitreemagnacarta[at]googlegroups.com (changing out [at] for @)
Click the "Add this Person" button.
Scroll back down and click [Add as Manager] to the right of the entry for WikiTree-36.
Profiles that project members are working on should be added to the watchlist by adding this project account to the trusted list (steps 1-3 above).
Please do not add the project as a manager to any profiles that are not part of a completed, project-reviewed/approved trail. Project members will ask you to add the project to the trusted list of profiles they are working on. Some profiles that project members have developed in anticipation that they will be included in a trail are also monitored by the project. If you have questions, you can post a comment here that members of the project's Profile Alerts Google Group will see.

Click [here] to see pending merges of the project's watchlist profiles that are ready to be completed.
Click [here] to view the feed of activity in followed surnames, tagged G2G discussions, and new members who added the tag (see this page for more information about tags).
For coordination of Magna Carta trails underway, ready for review, and review/approval, continue to post comments at Base Camp.
G2G should continue to be used to discuss significant changes to a profile prior to taking action (and post to the profile also). Breaking a trail - disconnecting children from their parents or separating spouses - should not come as a surprise to the profile manager or people who follow the surname tag. Please include the project tag magna_carta also.
Magna Carta Project Google Groups:

Sherrie - that is partly correct. Only a profile manager can add a manager (someone on the trusted list can only add WikiTree-36 to the trusted list).
The instructions on this page probably are no longer needed, since EditBot has added the project account to all profiles displaying a Magna Carta project box.
Now, as profiles are developed/reviewed/approved & have either a project box or the project's maintenance sticker added, folks can post a head's up here that a Leader needs to add WikiTree-36 to the profile (as manager if a project box is displayed, to the trusted list if the sticker).
Re Profile Scott-238 i hope every profile manager of that Profile see's This His name was Reginald not Raynald Pay attention to the Sources and Pedigrees Charles Scott's Father was Reginald and Reginald's Brother Richard also had a son Reginald
Richard, having R-M269 doesn't provide proof of descent from the Magna Carta sureties. That haplogroup is the most common European Y-chromosome lineage and is carried by about 110 million European men. Here's a link to a bit more information: https://isogg.org/wiki/Haplogroup_R1b_(Y-DNA)
