Biogaphy

Robert P. Wilbur, born 28 October 1839 at Groton, Connecticut, was a son of Lucy Clark (Palmer; 1811-1906) and William Ashbey Wilbur (1807-1846).

Robert married 10 May 1864 at Groton, Connecticut, Phebe Miner (Fish; 1843-1926) ^[1]. The event was published on several Connecticut venues ^[2],^[3].

There were six children of this family, as profiled, and as outlined in the subsequent census records of Groton and Mystic ^[4],^[5],^[6],^[7]. The records illustrate that Robert was a shipmaster, sailor, and ship builder.

Robert Palmer Wilbur died 8 October 1913 at Groton ^[8]. His grave is in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic, New London County, Connecticut, USA ^[9].
